Where material is continuously slit into short rolls inline behind a production line with extremely short cycle times, fully automatic short-roll winders with core magazines and finished-roll handling systems from the ShortSlit Inline series are used. The finished roll is changed without interruption and does not affect the continuous production process.
The major advantage of fully automatic short-roll winders is the availability of cross-cutting and feeding systems—depending on the material—for automatically cross-cutting the material and feeding the new web onto a prepared or unprepared winding core. The cores are loaded fully automatically from a core magazine. Depending on the configuration, winding can also be performed without cores.
In addition, the fully automatic short-roll winders in the ShortSlit Inline series are ideally suited for producing pre-cut rolls. For this purpose, the series is available with manual or semi-automatic slitting systems.
